Only two books this year have earned five star reviews from me, and I don't think it's a coincidence that both have been from African American authors, and both have been tackling hard issue of being black in a white America.

Two Thought-Provoking Books I Loved
I didn't have much time to read this summer, with school and working full time. But I did manage to pick up two books that really blew me away: The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry and The Orphan Master's Son.
