Gift Guide for Book Lovers

Hey folks! I don’t know about you, but I spent the week of Thanksgiving in my sweatpants. The. Whole. Week. I ate a lot, and I shopped a lot. I bought TONS of books (for Christmas presents, of course), and I finally finished my wish list.

Most of my wish list, unsurprisingly, is book related. Through my research, I came across about 18 thousand things I wanted, but, in the interest of limiting my wish list, I thought I would pass on the information to you (since a girl can only fit a certain amount of bookshelves in her house before her husband is forced to move out.)

Most of these products are from Etsy or Amazon, all of the links are provided, and I received zero compensation for any of these recommendations.

Wearables

//1/ This enamel pin makes me want to start rapping like the white girl I am. //2/ This bookish necklace is just subtle enough to get away with wearing it literally everywhere. //3/ One of the few graphic tees I would actually wear. //4/ A sly bit of political humor for the book loving liberal in your life. //5/ The coziest looking sweater. //6/ The best bag to tote around your What Happened hardcover. //7/ A pretty tote for the heavy trips to the library. //8/ Wrap an entire novel around your neck with this scarf.

Subscriptions

//1/ Of course, no list would be complete without Book of the Month on it. (I get a free book for everyone who signs up using my code. But I honestly would recommend it to everyone anyway!) It’s one of the cheapest boxes, and you get your choice of one of five books. //2/ For YA books (for the teenager or teenager at heart… like me), Owl Crate is one of the most recommended that I’ve seen. It comes with a couple books, a few goodies, and always has a theme. //3/ For the very youngest among us, My First Reading Club has boxes that go as low as Less Than 2 Years Old! //4/ Book Bath Box is a quarterly subscription that sends a book with some cozy goodies, like bath bombs and aromatherapy candles!

Bookmarks

//1/ These personalized leather bookmarks are at the top of my wish list! //2/ These metal bookmarks come with a glow in the dark charm, which is everything you didn’t know you needed. //3/ The options for customizing these wire bookmarks are endless! //4/ These little snails are adorable, and the seller creates them with all types of animals. //5/ Love true crime and the sassy My Favorite Murder podcast? (You should.) These bookmarks give a slightly NSFW vibe to your reading. //6/ This bookmark has a timer that keeps track of how much time you spend reading! (Definitely could help keep my reading-to-social media ratio on point) //7/ This cord bookmark is similar to the only bookmark I’ve used in the last couple of years. //8/ When in doubt, get a bookmark to represent your favorite fandom! (These Harry Potter ones are to die for.)

For the Personal Library

//1/ This adorable stamp will help keep track of all of your books. //2/ This minimalistic stamp has a ton of customizable options! //3/ Feel like a badass with this embosser. (Really.) //4/ Super minimal stamp, but beautiful calligraphy. //5/ Another beautiful embosser, but you could also get the stamp to match! //6/ Read it. Love it. Return it (because I definitely forgot I loaned it to you.) //7/ For an old-school feel, this stamp is it. //8/ To really throwback, here are some library cards.

Helpful Gadgets

//1/ Save your thumbs and hold the book open just a bit easier! (This may seem dramatic, but I honestly think I’d use the heck out of this.) //2/ A heated throw blanket, to make those winter nights even cozier. //3/ A necessity for everyone who loves library books and bath bombs just a bit too much. //4/ A lamp that makes it easy to mark your page when you are falling asleep at night!

Books, Of Course

I could argue that books are the hardest thing to buy for someone, especially for older children and adults. But, on the flip side, they are one of the most personal gifts to give someone, and I appreciate when someone goes out of their way to recommend or gift me a book. I have a list of book recommendations here, if you know what genres your friend/family member/special friend likes to read, but here are a few other curated lists by people who know more than I do.

I personally added the Harry Potter illustrated texts to my wish list, as well as a box set of the Discovery of Witches trilogy, which I want to reread before it becomes a series next year!

I hope this gave you lots of ideas for the book lovers in your life! (Specifically, my husband, I’ll take anything/everything on this list. Please and thank you.)
