I love March, and I always have fun looking for books for Women's History Month. Books about women and for women, and I'm particularly impressed by the diversity in genre and literary-ness (is that a word?) of the books I read this month.
I managed to read 10 books this month, which is hella impressive, if I do say so myself. Even more exciting is the fact that I read only Black authors this month.
Oh hi, it's February 5th, and I still can't stop thinking about all the wonderful books I read in January. I put a lot of pressure on myself to get January right -- it's the first month of the year, a way to kick off my new reading goal.

I definitely read some great books this summer, particularly on audio, and the books featured below represent a wide cast and crew, from settings in Nigeria and the Bahamas, to books featuring queer characters, both adult and YA, fiction and nonfiction.
The social distancing period has not been kind to me in many ways, but the books on my bookshelf have been overjoyed by it.
Apparently Nonfiction November is a thing, and I was apparently a participant this month. Four of the seven books I read this month were nonfiction, which surprised me, but also I enjoyed the heck out of them.
October is always a good reading month for me. Despite homecoming and football games, I seem to be back in the routine of school and I find more time to carve out for good books.
