What I Read: December 2018
I didn’t post one of these in November, because I only read 4 books. I fell into an awful slump, and the books I chose to read were not fast paced enough to get me out of that slump. Excellent YA Books: What I Read April 2018
This month has been a crazy month, full of distractions and beautiful weather. Despite all of that, I ended up reading a lot of really excellent YA reads, most of which have been on my To Read list for quite some time!
Throwback Tuesday: Historical Fiction Novels I Love
Maybe it's because my mom is a history teacher, so I grew up immersed in classroom, soaking up all of the American history that I could. Whatever the reason, my favorite genre of books, and the genre I keep coming back to when I'm in a slump, is historical fiction.
Different Perspectives: A Note on African American Novels
Only two books this year have earned five star reviews from me, and I don't think it's a coincidence that both have been from African American authors, and both have been tackling hard issue of being black in a white America.
